A News on Technical Training Output of Income Generating Activities and Family Investment Plan for Self-Help Group Members in CLEAR-Batch2 Villages in April and May 2026
The CLEAR project is continued support for 220 target villages in batch-2 in December 2025 to form 804 Self Help Groups (SHG) including 11,435 members. After the group formation, the district livelihood officers (DLOs), young graduate (YGs) and District officers of agriculture and environment (DAE) conducted the technical training topics for all SHG members, such as poultry, pig, goat and fish raising, lowland rice, vegetable, cassava, corn, banana, Job’s teer, coffee, broom grass, fodder and Jingy root for 11,303 SHG members including 10,484 women. In the meantime, the team assisted the SHG members to develop their family investment plan (FIP) before receiving the seed grant as loan from CLEAR project. The livelihood team used the training modules and short videos of IGA. At the same time, the livelihood team demonstrated how to vaccinate their animals, the feed preparation, prepare the compost for the soil fertility improvement and the herbal pesticides to control and repellent the insects. The training was provided the technical backstopping by the central agriculture extension officer to the livelihood teams.
After the training completion, YGs are continued working together with the SHG members to build the resilient animal houses, grow the fodder crops, clean the fish pond, improve the water quality and prepare the lands for the commercial crops before the rainy season starts.
