October 22, 2025 – The Community Livelihood Enhancement and Resilience (CLEAR) project has officially commenced the construction of a “Nutrition House” sub-project in Ban Pha Daeng Village, Add District Huaphan Province. This is one of 53 Nutrition Houses being constructed nationwide under Batch 1 of the CLEAR project in 2025. This initiative marks a significant step in developing community infrastructure to improve livelihoods and the health of mothers and children in the area.
The construction of this Nutrition House directly responds to the community’s needs, having been selected as a top priority during the Village Development Plan process. The residents of Ban Pha Daeng have expressed great excitement and happiness to receive this facility, which will serve as a dedicated space for promoting community nutrition activities.
Technical Details and Climate Resilience: The building measures 5 x 14.5 meters and is designed according to the project’s technical standards, with a focus on climate resilience. A key feature of this sub-project is the installation of a Solar Power System. Since Ban Pha Daeng is currently off-grid with no access to electricity, this renewable energy solution will provide essential lighting and power to support nutrition-related activities effectively and sustainably.
Construction works began on October 22, 2025, and the field engineering team expects to complete the project by January 25, 2026.
The CLEAR project aims for this Nutrition House to become a hub for learning and health development for the Ban Pha Daeng community, serving as a model for environmentally friendly and resilient infrastructure.
